This is a translation for convenience. The Luxembourgish version is the authoritative one.
FoolDog is built to need as little data as possible. There is no advertising, there are no trackers and no analytics SDKs. The app works completely without an account.

Not collected: location, contacts, photos, address book, health data, advertising identifiers (no IDFA), search history. The app requests no app tracking permission, because it does not track you across other apps or websites.
3. Legal basis
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) — for the core features: showing jokes, likes, lists, submissions, accounts.
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) — for moderation and for preventing abuse.
4. Who receives the data
- Supabase Inc. — hosting of the database and authentication, as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Data is processed in the region selected for the project; where that is outside the EU, the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Apple Inc. — only if you use “Sign in with Apple”; Apple's own privacy policy then applies as well.
- Google (Fonts) — the app loads the
Nunito and Baloo 2 typefaces from
fonts.gstatic.com. Only the font file is requested; no user data is transmitted. This does not apply to this website — here the fonts are self-hosted. - Vercel Inc. — hosting of this website, see section 5.
Your data is not sold and not used for advertising.
5. This website
This website is purely static: it sets no cookies, has no analytics and loads no external resources. Fonts, images and styles all come from the same server.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA) as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. When you visit, the server writes technical log data — IP address, time, requested page, browser identification — which is necessary for operating and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
- Account, profile, likes and lists: until you delete your account.
- Approved jokes: they remain in the app after account deletion, but anonymised — the link to your account is irreversibly removed.
- Rejected or not yet reviewed jokes: deleted together with the account.
7. Deleting your account
In the app: Profil → Kont läschen → confirm.
This immediately and irreversibly removes your account, your name, all your likes and all your lists. Alternatively you can write to us at support@daumedia.lu.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Write to us at support@daumedia.lu.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Luxembourg with the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD).
9. Children
The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
10. Changes
If anything in this policy changes, the date above is updated. For significant changes we will also point this out inside the app.
