Terms of use

Last updated: 27 July 2026 · applies to the FoolDog app (iOS)

This is a translation for convenience. The Luxembourgish version is the authoritative one.

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of the FoolDog app, offered by Daumedia (see legal notice). By installing and using the app you accept these terms. If any individual provision is invalid, the remaining ones are unaffected.

2. The app

FoolDog is free. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. The core features — reading, filtering, searching, liking, saving and sharing jokes — work without an account. An optional account with email or with Apple serves solely to sync your likes and lists between devices.

We provide the app as it is. Uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed; features may change or be discontinued.

3. Submitting jokes

You can submit your own jokes. In doing so you confirm:

By submitting, you grant us the right to display, store and distribute the text in the app and on our channels — free of charge, without time limit and without geographic restriction. Your own rights to the text remain intact.

4. What does not belong in the app

Zero tolerance. Content that breaches these rules is removed without prior warning. Repeated breaches lead to the account being blocked.

Not permitted, among other things:

5. Moderation

Every joke is reviewed before it is shown publicly. We reserve the right to reject, amend or remove content — including after it has been approved. There is no right to publication.

6. Reporting

Every joke card has a flag icon. Use it to report content that breaches section 4. We review every report and act accordingly. A reported joke may be hidden immediately until the review is complete.

7. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your access. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profil → Kont läschen). What exactly is deleted is set out in the privacy policy.

8. Liability

Jokes are entertainment. Responsibility for the content of submitted jokes lies with whoever submitted them. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. Otherwise liability is limited to typical, foreseeable damage.

9. Changes to these terms

We may adapt these terms where technical or legal changes require it. The date above indicates the current version.

10. Governing law

The law of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you live remain unaffected.
